Would any of you honestly buy this car if it's over $25k? I don't even see the Fr-S or even the BRZ since it has more gadgets being worth more than that, but like I said in another thread, dealers will price it however much they want due to the demand.

We're talking about $CND here, not $US. It depends on how much more us Canucks will be charged compared to what you guys will be charged. I'm expecting 23k-24k $US so maybe along the lines of 25k-27k $CND, and I would'nt go further up.

Canada has had the same bumper laws as the U.S. for a few years now. That's what you can now import Evos and such.

This actually made me chuckle.

Then I started getting sad because I realized that Americans have to pay for their health care by selling their homes. :P

I'm not sure if this has been linked here or not yet,

It’s still unofficial, but a source inside Scion’s Canada division has let slip to AutoGuide that when the FR-S goes on sale later this year it will start at $27,500.

I know it is unofficial but that shit is expensive. For the US the Genesis Coupe starts at $25,125. So if it is priced over the Genesis Coupe in Canada, it will probably be a little cheaper and right around the $25k mark.

Its not

I called my Scion guy after I saw this rumour and after I saw their dealership post it on fb only to get the respond that the price isnt accurate and they were told to remove it by Scion Canada as to not mislead people

This is what I'm afraid of but I couldn't see it being too low if they are suppose to be low market compared to the brz.... unless Subaru Canada decides to sell the brz at a higher cost than a wrx

Don't know about you guys... but in Quebec, the law for contest and prizes is extremely strict... You can always swap the prize you won to get the money instead, so for this reason, when you submit a contest to provincial gov, you have to put a prize value with the reasons of this value.

If you read the rules and regulations on the scionfrs.ca contest, it clearly states the prize value at "around" 30,000$, and this INCLUDES taxes, destination fee (1490$) and whatever other fees. If you put it that way, with Quebec taxes (5% + 9,5%) it all comes out to about 24,450$

That, to me, seems a fair price.

Are you certain the small print says that the $30k includes tax, etc...? And if it is even the same deal for Quebec? (So many prize things seem to exclude Quebec...)

Edit: Just re-read the rules and looks like you could be spot on. $30k would have to cover whichever Province has the highest PST, so it could be even LESS?

If that math is solid it does seem like a reasonable number. Well, a number I find acceptable.
