If you're comparing a brand new BR-Z with a factory warranty, to a used built corvette that depreciation has already affected as well as possible reliability issues with a built car you might have. That is the worst comparison ever.

Not to mention that it still would be no more fun in a 2 mile commute. Wouldn't even be warmed up yet.

I do use it as more of a 2nd car but it's mostly because I don't want to put a ton of miles on it or thrash the interior from being dirty when I get off of work.

Every time I walk towards or away from the car I still look at it and smile. Really hard to beat that almost 2 years after purchase.
I still do the same thing with my car. I have a 2013 FRS which I think is still the best looking version on the outside. I get out of my car and just look at it and smile. Its such a fun car to drive and is gorgeous to look at.

Me as well. Dirty or clean. At home or in a parking lot. As I walk away I still turn back and look at it as if it was brand new to me.

Same goes for me. I still turn and look.

Ever notice that it sometimes looks more sporty at certain angles and other times more luxury? Other times like silhouette of another car?

Yes, absolutely. I say that even after changing the spark plugs myself.

Eh, if you look at it in dollar value it makes perfect sense, people have different priorities and $25k+ could go a long way towards satisfying certain desires.

I bet there's a guy reading his post and laughing because he can buy a bike that'll do 0-60 in <3s and someone else laughing because they could go wheel to wheel racing in a go-kart or miata or another person laughing because they can buy a nice commuter car that's easy on gas and fits the whole family and someone else would rather blow it all on weed and drive their mom's Camry.

Not everybody wants or needs a car that's fun to drive but also serves as a decent single car. I met a guy who bought a Fiesta ST and his buddy who was looking for a car, 'if I had wanted something more practical' vs. 'if I had wanted something less practical', both totally happy with our cars.

I sold my 13 brz for an ecoboost mustang..... I trade it in last month for a new asphalt 86.... awesome. The 86 has the soft touch stuff and just enough of the brz interior character. I love it. Best part is, I kept all the parts I took off my BRZ. Yay!

I replaced my Whiteout FR-S with a BRZ recently... so i guess my answer is YES!

Edit: And to be fair, i did shop around looking at other cars, but my heart came back to this car...

Well I am new to this car but i am not new to Subaru or the boxer and the minute I saw how this community was budding into what the old Subaru community used to be and not into the grumpy grumbles of ring lands and headgaskets. I had to get one if things stay the same I will probably even buy a second one LOL

Definite yes. Only change I *might* make would be to buy a manual... well that and I would have bought a cleaner car, there's nothing mechanically wrong with the one I bought but I really wish I still had the stock tails instead of these valenti ones.
