A later post shows the drop and the springs.. Just scroll down a little

Dear OP how do you find the width of the tires affect your cars acceleration?

Width shouldn't effect acceleration, only height will as that will impact gearing.

OP I dig your mudflaps!

What? U have a greater contact patch, higher coefficient of friction AND more weight. It affect acceloration. Grip and power both matter

Yep, but even though these cars lack power they don't lack THAT much power.

my 17x9 with 245/40/17 RS3 are just a touch heavier then stock and on a 0-60 run the extra grip will make you faster over the loss in un-sprung weight. It matches stock hight so you don't lose any accelration due to taller gearing.

I appreciate this kind of response Thank you! This is the type of answer I was looking for. You are right, they are not 120-130 hp cars, which would drag more with added width than our twins do.

that's why I went with the 35 series tires in the rear to keep it as close to stock rolling diameter as possible. I have noticed a tad bit slower acceleration, but corners... whewww the G's are a nice feeling, something i enjoyed from the porsche...
