Installed a new product of ours over the weekend. Another part someone asked us to come up with that we were able to help with.

It has been done multiple times before on other chassis, nothing ground breaking here. Our units are 100% high-temp carbon, no fiberglass. Instead of typical gel coat being used, which yellows over time with heat, these units are polished for a finish that won't degrade over time. Looks very motorsport-esque, very neat.

Thanks,
Eric

What tuning options did you go with?

EcuTek for right now. It's doing what we need it to; it, of course, has its shortcomings but the price point is quite appealing compared to stand alones.

If you know of one we should get in contact with, let us know and we'll reach out.

We did some more testing on our rear diffuser *without diff covers* and *installed at the lowest setting* to fit the Tomei Type 80 I'm currently running. This time with flow visualization fluid. Few neat findings:
-The air does indeed follow the curve up on the rear upturn lip, which proves it functions.
-We can assume most of the diffuser surface has clean attached flow from the test section.
-We found a vortice coming off the exhaust cutout location. Pretty neat to capture it in our opinion.

Something to keep in mind, the faster you go, the more air will want to stay attached. This isn't intuitive as you'd think air would be less likely to curve around objects at faster speeds.

The clear question then is when is the product coming out that addresses the exhaust disturbance???

We have the "OEM exhaust cutout cover" for those that run an OEM or similar exhaust (Tomei Type 80 would be in this group). That would greatly reduce the vortex which was captured in the video here. If I was after every bit of performance, I'd fit one to my diffuser as well but just haven't had time or the need currently.

Here's a pretty well-executed underbody for a production car using production pieces we offer, IMO.

Thanks,
Eric

In your opinion, which parts make the biggest difference on their own?
What order do you see parts making the biggest to smallest difference with regards to aero?
And which parts really need item A and item B to shine?

Thanks!

I was thinking more along the lines of a new exhaust system and diffuser designed to work together, which I think you may have also daydreamed about back when initially designing this system.

This depends on your goals.

If you're looking for a reduction in lift, the front splitter will net the largest gains there. If you're looking for a reduction in drag, the diffuser certainly does that, even with the stock exhaust (without stock exhaust, the gains are even larger).

The interesting thing is that splitters and diffusers do work with one another. The diffuser influences the splitter and the splitter influences the diffuser, they work together to actually help each other. Not saying it's a night and day difference but each one becomes more efficient when used together. This information is what we observed through our CFD analysis.

That's a bit more than we can pick off at this point. We're still a very VERY small company and we have to pick and choose our projects carefully to try and stay in business haha. This one would come with a bit more risk than we currently would like. Never say never though .

Thanks,
Eric

Awesome responses. Thanks for your Time @VeloxEric that really helps to understand that it's engineered as a system, and the two big components are the big wins.

So we are having a cold spell in Arizona currently with ambients in the high 90s and low 100's. Figured I'd share radiator temps again with the slightly lower ambient temps.

Water temps are down about 2 degrees Celsius. Instead of 91, it typically sits right around 89 now at speeds. At low air speeds, it climbs up to 91ish.

With the tune getting dialed in every outing I'm able to do a bit more spirited driving as well and temps are unaffected thus far. Oil does get a bit more warm when driving harder, 110-115 is the highest I've seen so far.

The dual port internal wastegate is currently hooked up as a standard single port wastegate using the 3-port solenoid. It appears I can no hit somewhere between 8 and 14 PSI to redline. We will likely be trying out the 4-port for even more control. Still currently dialing in the 1300s but it's getting closer for sure !

Thanks,
Eric

Looking at the pictures, I want to say it will. Won't know for sure until it's tried but it seems to stay away from the tubing.

Started a thread on the radiator for anyone potentially interested in it:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109230

We are finally getting close to releasing our AOS that has been in development for a long time. It's been proven on NA and moderate turbo'd cars now over 3 years. Below are some preliminary pictures of CAD and raw billet.

Thanks,
Eric
