Turn 8 rash from too early apex and wide exit resulting in mowing stubby cones and straddling curb shown in DA's video post #97 @ 1:26. No worries, buffed right out. A learning experience reminding me to look ahead.

I saw a few of you guys leave as I waiting to get into the track on friday evening for the race weekend.

On behalf of Cascade Sports Car Club; thank you for your participation and attending the event.

BTW: Did anyone come back on Sat or Sun and watch the races or go for ride in a on the race cars?

It was only a $15 donation to Doernbecher charity for a ride in the one of the race cars. I was giving rides on Sunday and gave a ride to 3 kids and couple adults, all who had a great time.

Yes, I returned both days. Wow, some amazing race cars, great action in all classes and very friendly owners and teams in the pits eager to share about their cars.

I made the donation but didn't ride 'cause of the kids and family members waiting for rides.

Sorry I missed you, I didn't realize you'd be racing.

Here's some in car video of session 3. I love the old guy at the end telling me that it's a great car. He was driving a super charged camaro and he couldn't pass me. He would catch me on the straights and then I'd smoke him in the corners. If I had a rear camera you'd see him for this entire clip. Click on the picture to go to the video.

I'll have my video up hopefully late tonight but I was in the red CRX that battled with the Porsche 944 in the group 2 race (Spec Miata group).

I was glued to this bumper for the first half, lost him due to traffic in the second half, caught him on the 2nd to last lap then pressured him into the chicane on the last lap where he spun in front of me and the white Miata and myself had to split his sideways car and then drag race out of the chicane in which I was victorious. Winning group 2 overall in a car that qualified 7th on the grid was very satisfying.

Unfortunately my go-pro battery died 20minutes into the race!

I saw you! Congrats on an epic last lap performance. I watched from the chicane South bleachers and really thought that it would all come to tears but somehow you pulled through, whew, it was definitely an "Oh S***" moment from an interested spectators viewpoint. It became a reality check to my "hey, I can do this" ambitious thoughts of getting into the game. BTW, your car sounds very healthy with a unique note that sounded more serious than the other cars. Very entertaining, thanks.

Helluva dice with that 944, more fun than any Grand Am and ALMS event from Elkhart Lake or NASCAR from Watkins Glen last weekend. I love the way you worried the 944 into a spin on the last lap. BTW, nice save @ Turn 12, the most intimidating turn on the circuit to me. If things go wrong there, neither outcome (tire wall, concrete wall) is good.

I learned a lot about the proper gear, braking points (deep!), line and using all the road from your video and hope to apply some of it (but not quite that much) to my next track day, thanks.
