If I were to do it all over again I would use a 3.33" pulley to compensate for my elevation and flex fuel as our 91 octane is garbage here.

No 3.125?

3.33 is lower boost longer lasting. *shrug* not a huge difference between. The car was great fun on 3.48 on e85. Power wise I mean. Ofc
I always want more power. But for my original intention any power over the 3.33 pulley was just "bonus power" that made car faster than I needed for spirited drives.

It you want more power the 3.125 does wonders especially on quality fuel!

Ps drift office posted dynos of their testing of jrsc and kW. I was honestly
Expecting more from the hype / bashing if thermal efficiencies... Can't wait to see a legitimate overlay comparison of mid level boost / tq to see if the rotrex had any benefit but so far it really looks like it's little to nothing. As cars with vortech were the same power... Hell I almost made that power on Cali 91 octane at 9psi on stock exhaust.

Are the Vortech SC proned to overheating or heating up the engine bay? I've done a couple spirited drives, but the hottest engine components were never the SC itself. Interesting read on a fellow's turbo build. I'm referring to this http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53580

TIA.

The Vortech is definitely not prone to overheating itself or the engine. As far as boost goes, Vortech Systems are easily one of the highest thermodynamically efficient choices available. 50 State emissions legal, and completely safe for anything from reliable daily driving to aggressive track day sessions.

I've gone on fairly long abusive drives and have never had any concerns of the charger unit overheating. Your oil temp will go up first and you'll snap a belt or something else before it's really anything of concern. Ofc this is nothing scientific. I talked to vortech on the topic after a user raised concern and they have no worries or had anything noticeable come up in the past.

People really overthink this kit especially with the cold weather bits and odd warranty bits. Fine details go into legal documents on typically because someone has done something out of the ordinary before. Or things are tested and tjem exdurated for an extra margin of error.
