looks like 3" pipe with a 2.75" flange that was cut off....

doesn't appear to be a failure.. look at the striations in the metal on the upper portion.

if this is about the difference in sizes; you have to request 3" flanges... I did

OK before this goes any further off topic. WE made a modification to the upper charge pipe to fit HID headlamps better. Has nothing to do with the BOV. The kits that were shipped within the last couple weeks. This was not available months ago. Rich (FAER) if you have HID's feel free to request the newer version of the pipe since you havent installed yet. This was never brought to our attention cause the guys with HIDs were just wedging the pipes into place and failed to inform us of the issue regarding the tight fitment. Once we had one in the shop we made the revision.

If you guys have specific question for me please post in our thread.

Toni did address the issue, people who had ordered kits did not mention to him that there was a fitment issue. Seems like people had shaved their headlights in order for them to fit. When I mentioned it to Toni he said that people should have let him know that it was an issue. He did resend new piping promptly but the shop that is doing the install said that the piping clears but there was another issue with fitment, they said the had contacted Toni and he was going to expidite new piping. Guys any issue with your kits let Toni know so he can address it, makes no sense to customize a kit.

No worries Toni will take care of it.

Sorry no pic, I guess when the shop discovered it they just contacted Toni and finished up in other areas. Everything else fits fine though.

Anybody have any rough numbers from the stage 1 60 trim with the 93 tune that they send?
I've seen plenty of the 280ish HP marks but that is a custom tune.. I'm curious how much I will be missing out on since I probably won't be getting it custom dyno tuned for about a month..

You should speak with toni @ fa20club on this. Last I checked the tune that comes with it it is a tuning service. If this is still the case I would drive minimally until a log is reviewed and said to be "safe" to drive until you can schedule either street or dyno tuning. fa20club previously never had "canned tunes" that came with kits. They just send a base tune file that should be "close" to fitting and sometimes is just ran extra rich until the tuning can be done.

Ah, ok. In that case maybe I'll bump up my tune appointment..

No worries Toni, I have a BRZ (HID's are standard on ALL BRZs) and if others made it work I'm sure Dave will do just fine. If he doesn't like the fitment I'm sure he'll be in touch with you. However if the fitment is of serious concern to you feel free to mail me a replacement pipe, otherwise I'll wait until install day to see how "unfit" it is.

Thanks for the response

I wanted to do a drive video but the car still has some issues (like randomly die out on me and will give a p0300 code, not starting after its been warmed up, etc.) Won't be able to resolve the issues till I am back home in a few months.
