If it's based off the B01C reflash, which I believe it is, then no - the fix is already incorporated. I check out the rom in comparison to the previous revisions, there are changes to various areas of the idle logic (most of which is also not defined in any of the current solutions).

I haven't read up well enough on this amazing product, I'll admit that right now.
But what I saw, was awesome! To me tuning with a Diablosport Predator and a laptop was already amazing (although super clumsy by comparison). This thing looks just plain great. I assume this will take care of header caused CELs? Also, does it allow no lift shift and 2 step functionality? Thanks |

No - no need to - I'm saying the latest OFT maps are based off the last revision, so you would be getting it in any case.

Sweet. Thanks. Now all I need to do is have the GPS TSB taken care of and decide whether or not I want the cricket issue dealt with.

Catless header CEL is taken care of with the stage 2 maps. "No Lift Shift" also no as FFS (Flat Foot Shifting) is a capable function that is set to off by default. Launch Control is also an available function. I'm not sure what you mean by two step functionality.

So:
No lift shift - YES CEL kill - YES 2 step - YES 2 step is a 2nd rev limiter for when you are on the clutch waiting to launch. So being you say it does have launch control, I take that as a yes. How is the no lift shift implemented? Via ignition cut or fuel cut or both? Is it possible to run just ignition cut, no fuel cut? That's just too much fun

The "2 Step" and the "NLS" work on fuel cut the same way the revised rev limit is. This means that there are 3 functional rev limits controlled by different scenarios:
1. Normal Rev Limit: Max RPM no matter what. Cuts fuel when RPM is greater than a certain value and turns it back on under a certain limit. 2. LC: When the vehicle is below a specific speed (default is 6mph), a new rev limit is established defined as a delta (the difference from the standard rev limit). 3. FFS: When the clutch is activated (sets off the sensor as being pushed in), a new rev limit is established until the clutch is let out. This is sometimes activated accidentally by resting your foot on the clutch. |

Got my OFT this morning and flashed the Stage 1 map. I'll try to post my logs in a little while, but my initial take on it is:
I didn't notice much of a difference at first. A little smoother perhaps, but didn't seem like a big deal. Later on, the change was more noticeable. Maybe I'm imagining things (I don't think so) but the thing that seemed the most different was that the VVT seems to come on about 750 rpm sooner. That's what it felt and sounded like, anyway. On the stock tune, it seemed that the noticeable VVT "boost" occurred right around 5000 rpm+/-. Now it happens at about 4,250 rpm +/-. That makes for a significant difference in drivability. There's more margin for error when shifting at redline. Whereas before, a shift up at redline resulted in being right at the start of the VVT boost, now you're further up into the boost. The torque dip is obviously lessened, as well. Again, maybe I'm just imagining all that, but it sure seems different to me.
