I don't think the monogram cars will go on sale then.
The reason the 10 series wen't on sale is because the monogram came with options the 10 series had and more. You could say the TRD version may come with the monogram options, but that is unlikely. The monogram was geared more towards "luxury" and the trd is geared more towards "performance". Plus that would bring the MSRP on the base TRD (by base I mean no dealer or factory installed options) over $30,000. I don't see Scion coming out with a base msrp on any car over $30k. |

And with new robots online improving production efficiency, 2015 pricing may actually decrease like we see with Monogram vs. 10 Series. Either way, there will be pressure on dealers to move out the 2014's ASAP and if that means abandoning pure pricing, it will (and already has) happened, special edition or not. I don't think the TRD will have Monogram options either, but it'll likely be over $30K. Toyota CEO Jim Lentz said in an industry speech late last year that they're "studying" moving the Scion brand up market into the premium segment. Looks like we'll find out by June/July what that means. |

That will take a Toyota insider to say. The public industry daily/monthly/annual sales reports lump all models in a series together except for hybrids that are broken out separately.

I probably shouldn't even be commenting on this stuff. I am extremely picky when it comes to my car, a lot more than the average person.

They sold 2 already, a Whiteout 6MT & an Asphalt 6AT, which means they've allocated 5/2000 or 0.25% of the Monograms. Compared to the 10 Series, where they only got 2 6MTs & 1 6AT, or 3/2500...0.12% This definitely means that some dealerships might not even be seeing a monogram land on their lot since there are around 1000 Scion dealers. ...for the record they also have 9 base FR-S sitting on the lot.
