I saw that thread. All I gotta say is that a lot of those guys don't have Canadian winters. Quebec = salt

I've stored my previous car, too. So I don't really have a problem with it.
In any case, my 1999 Volvo S70 is comfortable haha

They said it was to arrive at their warehouse by today whether it did or not they didn't say. Much of its time is apparently for PDI to handle.

Mine should arrive any day, hopefully soon but I'm not too bothered due to the random changes in weather. MY dealership has been very pleasant to deal with as well, so I know it will be in good hands when it arrives (i.e. no drilling the front for plates or dealer stickers )

Can't wait for Winter and crappy spring weather to be OVER!!!
I don't really have to worry about dealer badges because my dealer hasn't used these since the 90s likely knowing most owners don't like them, it seems they prefer rear plate holders over dealer badges. My requests to avoid drilling the bumper and instead mount the plate holder on the grille are apparently sent to their PDI team. I will see on Monday, of course working that day means I pick it up at night. Will mount snow tires the following day, since those are ready to go.

Firestorm I'm not getting it detailed at the moment, maybe in the summer.

For now, just waiting for window tint, TRD exhaust, fog lights and paint protection film

Hmmm, where are you taking it to? Dealership recommended. Man I am picky!

I'm not sure about your question. If you are asking about the above accessories, the dealer is doing the fogs and TRD exhaust as they are dealer-installed accessories. A separate company is completing the tinting and paint protection film on the front.

If you are asking about detailing, sorry I have no idea bro. I've never had my previous car detailed, it was an old Honda Prelude.

Thank you! Ummm, we had hail today and it seems we are headed into a rainy April. My baby will be snug in her garage until the weather clears up...

Then it's

Question

So the dealer told me I could not get it detailed elsewhere and Im stuck using their detailer. I will be going to a local shop to get the Paint Protection Film installed. So is my paint going to be officially screwed by the dealer now

That is the feeling Im getting from some of the posters on here...

Do not use the forums as your bible. Members only speak from their own experiences, yours could be different. We cannot possibly know how good your dealer's detailer is.

I think you could have told them to not touch it at all if you distrust the dealer so much. You would've had to pay out of pocket to get it detailed elsewhere though.
