I was not able to do AB testing due to a single set of wheels, but results of the last 2 events are backing up my thoughts. It's been in the mid-high 90's here for months, so both were getting sprayed each run.

Good to know. So timewise they are better (what really matters)... but do the RS3 feel much different?

I feel that the Z2's have a distinct grip limit, and that tended to cause lots of low speed understeer on my CS car (and on my STU STI in the past as well). The RS3's have a bit more wide/vague grip limit, which seems to balance my car out better. My driving style tends to explore the limits very aggressively, so I like the feel of the RS3's a bit better. I'm not the best judge of feel though - I just wanna go fast

Any reason to get one trim level over the others for STX? Weight differences seem marginal enough between the FR-S and the BRZ limited. Just a matter of driver preference?

Get what you want. I got the BRZ Limited.. with all the goodies on it.. Fogs/rear wing/Alcantara/Auto ac.. it added 14lbs to the base car.. so its not that much.. and it is driver preference.

So more pressure and a few events to scrub them in make the Hankooks much better (ran 36/33 yesterday, up from 32/30 I was running before). I now think they are faster than the Rivals by a noticeable amount. Car had good balance yesterday on low-grip fedex, if not a little stable... I bet the car will push on the grippier surfaces. I picked up a WRX rear swaybar that I might try, or maybe I'll just up the rear pressures a little more for the grippier lots.

What do you guys think about the HKS Hipermax IV SP coilovers? 8K kg spring rates and they come with camber plates.

I just worry about a rebuild when the time comes. Someone should bite the bullet and try these out for me! (Ill even hook you up with my source of getting them for ~1300).

I'll gladly try them out for you. You can have them sent to my house. Thanks!

Apologize if this has been asked before....would this Header/front pipe setup be STX legal?

HKS eliminates the header cat, and maintains a high flow front pipe cat...but is this within 6 inches of the OEM front pipe cat? Any help is appreciated...

Yes...Legal.. Most of us have a catless header... only to have the cat in the over/mid pipe.. Perfectly legal

For you guys not taking to the Rs3s after Rivals. You have to drive on them differently. Also you have to get them into there heat range. 115 degrees up until 140 then start spraying. The rivals are better on the first run. Rs3s first runs are always a throw away run.

RS3 V2's are perfectly fine on the 1st run. I have run my fastest run on the first run.
