On one hand it looks incredibly STALKER-ish but with upgraded visuals and explorable buildings

On the other hand it is MMO

Given it is a survival MMO I don't like the chances of being able to go it alone although I have read conflicting information on this.

No, I haven't but I will keep that in mind.

My impression, and I don't have any information to back this up, is that there are only so many players for MMOs to go around. Meaning that there are a finite number of players and those MMO games that don't pull a critical mass of players are doomed (or DOOMed) to die a death of un-interest.

It's the sane with all things. There are only so many people interested and they have other interests. It can only last so long. Unless you're a phenomenon like pokemon go that can pull people in that wouldn't normally care. It can't last forever(unless it's World of Warcraft)

Even WoW suffers from this. They stopped reporting their number of active users in Nov. 2015 after the number of users reached a 10 year low. Don't follow the game much so it may have improved since then, I just remember that announcement.

Pulled the trigger on a gtx 1080 g1 gaming. They are for sale currently and in stock on amazon come AUG 2. Says mine should arrive to me on the 5th. So selling my gtx 970 g1 gaming if anyone is interested in a still very capable card for a decent price. Looking to get $240+shipping obo

It's because they were adding another aspect ratio or something. But why not just release it and then update it after, why do the majority have to wait for the small amounts of people who use that particular aspect ratio.

Why would an aspect ratio require any additional programming? Every game should take arbitrary resolutions.

I don't get why people even care. It's pretty clear that NMS is going to be a bug-ridden, steaming pile.
