Thread bump and going to mention the SCCA Track Night in America at NOLA Motorsports Park. First one is May 6th and there will be one the first Wednesday of each month through August. Based the info I've seen about it they are promoting it as a social event just as much as it being a track day.
So get out there even if you don't plan on tracking your car

I won't be able to make the one next week but should be at the subsequent ones. Also will be DE'ing with NASA on the 23rd and 24th of May.

I got a 2013 Firestorm FR-S for sale if you know anyone in Louisiana that is looking for a good deal. I got 2 cars and one needs to go. I would appreciate any info on someone looking to grab one at a good price. Thanks! Figured posting here someone may know if anyone local is looking!

I'm officially signed up for HPDE 1 for both days. It'll be my first real track day event (previously done an autoX at zephyr). Any advice? I am planning to put in some Motul RBF600 fluid and still trying to decide on some track pads for at least the front.

You'll get different opinions on staggering compounds. Personally I run the same pad all the way around. I'll be using carbotech xp10s this time out. The first time out I ran on the oem pads. But I had never been a track before or done any autoXing so I was babying it for sure. I did throw some stoptech street pads on one time also when money was tight. Still a street pad and experienced brake fade, but was able to make it the weekend with them.

Other than that focus on the learning the line. I would for sure watch some videos on youtube if you haven't already. Speed and moving up your brake points will come eventually. I don't take it too serious, I just enjoy getting out there and having a good time.

Just bought a 2015 Crystal White Pearl BRZ limited! I live in Baton Rouge with my roommate who has a 2013 Hot Lava FRS. I've seen acouple FRSs around where I live, but not many BRZs. I'm looking to put some tint on my windows when I get back in... anyone have any suggestions on where I should go?
