Doesn't the sound tube route off the inlet tube (which is replaced anyway)? Would it be possible/safe to tap into the tubing in between the ESC and throttle body?

I imagine one would really want to keep the sound generator to start this project.

I wouldn't want to modify the tubing between the throttle body and the esc as that means you would be pressurizing the sound tube.

You wouldn't want to tap between the air box and the esc either because that would screw with the maf.

I know some people want to keep the sound tube but I can say you won't miss it. I thought I would but it didn't make that big of a difference and on top of that it made the engine bay way cleaner.

The quiet whoosh from the ESC trumps the phony sound generator intake sound by a mile anyhow.

people still use the sound tube? That was the first thing I ripped out of my car.

I don't miss it. Hell, I never even noticed a difference audibly.

It's not so much a woosh as it is more of a high pitched DC motor whine. Kind of like turning on a disassembled vacuum cleaner. But either way, the sound puts a smile on my face.

I do hear the whine if I really listen. Whats more noticeable is occasionally I do hear a slight psshh blow off valve sound when I lift the throttle.

I assume the air trapped between the throttle and compressor during shifts just reverses out through the airbox?

I love that we're having a conversation about the Phantom sound. Is the sound really there if it's a Phantom? Maybe we can call it a distant DC wail. The wailing phantom. Nikolai Tesla would be proud.

The Build doesn't have a way of letting go of Excess Forced Induction?
