ah sorry, i meant 1000 in the UK.. which i believe to be correct.. (?)
the sales manager at my local dealership mentioned to me on saturday the uk will be getting 1000 in year one, and production ramping up with a further 3000 avaliable to UK buyers in year 2.
I dont know if thats true (he may have received misinformation) but it was certainly what he was told at a recent managers event where the GT86 was on display ..

When I ordered mine on friday the Toyota dealer told me the same thing. 1000 units in the first year and it looking likely they will sell out before it is released. They were at a Managers convention the day before.... Of course they could just be saying that to get us to buy the car....

Either way its going to be amazing

hi all,

im from montreal, canada. i currently drive a hyundai sonata gl 2008 manual. i was looking alot the genesis coupe, but with the new facelift i dont think im gonna buy it.

at start when the ft86 concept was announce, i was like...meh. but after seeing the official pictures of the production model of the scion fr-s, i fall in love with it.

for some poeple the interior look really cheap, i find it too....BUT!!! i really like it, i dont like the new cars with alot of electronique and LCD everywhere, i like the fr-s dash because its basic and its clean.

the only thing im scared is the price....will see if the price is right, then i will buy it has a second summer car only.

sorry for my english, im french.

Hi everyone,

I'm from Chicago-land and currently drive a MKV VW GTI and '96 mazda miata. I've been lurking for around 8 months now, so I figured it was time I actually make an account
Needless to say, I'm very excited about this car and have been enjoying everything going on in this community!

Hi,

I've posted this in the Australian section but i thought i might aswell add it here too.

My names Travis and i live in the lower blue mountains. I've been following the 86 half heartedly for a few years but have really been interested in it in the last 10 months or so building up to the official unveiling. I have a AE71 drift car thats pretty much track only, though it does still have rego. I have been drifting for 3-4 years, with all of this year off unfortunately due to a new mortgage

I cant wait for the final details and pricing on the Australian version so i can work out what i'm going to do. Ultimately its going to be a white manual 86. I'm sick of trying to avoid populated roads in the corolla to drive something fun on the street so hopefully this is going to become my fun/weekend car.

Thanks guys,

Travis

Hello friends,

I had an MKV GTI, then I purchased a 2011 scion tc for reliability. I got rid of my VW and now I just have the Scion. I've been a huge fan of the AE86 since I was a kid, I use to watch initial D at the local food mart all the time. Lol
But anywho, I just hope that we can all remember that as enthusiasts we should love ALL cars and not hate. I'm tired of these little fan boy punks putting other enthusiasts down. Perhaps the 86/BRZ/F-RS crowd can start a new trend.

Thanks,

Brett

I had the Same feeling when i got my first car, an S14 Kouki, Had a 350z a few years after..but no car again was ever the same as my 240.

When i look at THIS car, I get the same feeling i had when i found my S14. Sounds odd, but i never thought i'd feel this way about a car again.
