Yep. I set mine at 7k. I'm dropping it to 6.5k though.

This might sound odd, but that's where mine is set (6.5k) to help with track shifts. The light is in the perfect spot to catch your peripheral vision while making the assessment of whether to grab the next gear or hold the current one before the braking zone.
