I knew the turbo was going to need a clutch but I wanted to install the kit and discard anything problematic or that may need my attention. I also did the install myself and couldn't do the clutch so regardless I had to wait. I didn't have fuel mods so I knew the boost would be low and the clutch would hold. It did hold fine all through out except maybe in 5th or 6th gear hitting full boost at low rpms, so high load, other than that it would have been fine for a while. Same thing for the oil cooler, I drive my car all day in heavy traffic and 90 degree weather and never had any overheating problems, I do monitor the oil temps via wifi obd2 adapter and a phone app. So in reality you could get the get and be a happy camper till you could safe enough money for anything else.

It's worth the money in all honesty, a nice tune and low boost will change the car dramatically for the best while keeping cost to a minimum.

What fuel mods did you do? I don't remember seeing injectors or anything like that.

Sounds like you've got the Torque app. That correct? If so, I already have that, and know how useful it is.

Zero fuel lol, good up with about 12 psi or so with my particular kit, as per my tuner. I literally just hooked up the kit and drove. Got the couch because I knew it was only a matter of time before I really needed it so I got a head start. Fuel is coming but honestly I don't really feel the need to run higher boost. I wanna get the oil cooler and do a couple of track visits at least. I actually use dash command which is not as great as torque but works about the same. I use it almost daily while driving from work to monitor temps in my crappy city drives.

Nope completely stock fueling system, good to about 12 psi as per my tuner. We've kept an eye of the pump pressure and all is good, eventually I'll do it but with these summer heats, more boost is second to an oil cooler.

I got dw 700cc injectors and moto-east flex fuel kit. Don't really need much more unless u go high boost.
No torque app here but I have a scangauge II. Like yomny has...does all the same stuff but its just standalone, so I don't drain my phone battery every time I drive

Ah. I was under the impression that you added something.

Do you at least have an e85 tune ready for experimenting?

Do you really think it's necessary to upgrade the fuel system?

I'd be keeping boost for track days around 14psi, but dding around 8-10psi. Anything more and I'd be worried about the engine block's longevity as it wasn't designed for boost to begin with.

How's the flex fuel kit working for you?

I was considering one, but I think I can manage my e85 percentage without one.

I love it. Its easy and I never have to worry about the percentage. Its nuts sometimes I'll get e60 then the next tank will be over 85%. If u wanna go with e85 just get the kit. Its so easy to install and it gives u piece of mind. Plus u can always find them used for cheap

I'll have to agree with the man.. just save a little a get the flex fuel kit.. you could go cheaper and do the direct install that moto mike has without the digital display, but id just get the display, its fun or scray to see how the concentration of ethanol varies so much. Its a thing of beauty to have the ECU calculate and work its magic. I don't have E85 yet, as I know it'll be addicting and i'll be going through gas tanks like crazy, as of now I go through a tank a week so this will probably have be filling up twice

Not sure if going higher will be a good idea with the stock fuel system as I mentioned earlier Mike advised me to stay under or @ 12psi(93oct)but you never know it may do 14. I think i'll wait on the fuel, ive been working a lot on the car lately(suspension work) and I don't wanna have to start digging around again for the pump and injector install. I'll just enjoy it for a while, money's be purged out this past year with the turbo kit and other stuff so I have to steer away from that for a while to stay a married man
