Cool, thanks for sharing! I might buy a soft box. Also I don't have a studio like that so it's hard to keep off reflections from the surroundings. I had to photoshop some reflection out of the body.

I'm sure for all of us want a full studio and 60k in lighting equipment plus a Hassleblad H4D-200MS... But for now, yeah having a softbox would probably be a great addition to your bag.

Still love what you did. If/When I get my car I'll have to see what I can do to kick it up a notch...

Pictures set to the desktop background on all of my computers. media server, work computer, home laptop, work laptop... anything I touch has that lovely side-profile shot as the desktop background image.
Its. So. Awesome.

He's a pretty well known photographer. He does a lot of advertising work.

Unless you get a giant octobox or a large lightbank (assuming that's what Blair used in the video. Haven't watched it) a softbox isn't all that great for exteriors. There's better ways to knock out reflections. A large scrim is really great for this. You can make one yourself for pretty cheap.

I'm okay with what I have right now (light umbrella). Probably won't anything new.

I'm probably going to build myself a large scrim or a large silk in the next few weeks.
