Each to own concerning EL & UEL sound for sure. I as well prefer EL sound for sure.

I'm fairly sure that I was the one that had the conversation with Tomei, not you, and they specifically asked for the pics so everyone could compare the welds. (Tomei's are beautiful by the way) So, the HKS pics and review should be in the same thread for comparison. The Tomei should sound very similar.

Enjoy the pics and info and keep your negative comments to yourself. I would appreciate it if you didn't "gum up" my thread with your comments that detract from the discussion, since you didn't bother reading what it was about, or who the OP was, in the first place.

I prefer performance and quality engineering first, which you get with the EL. And I agree that the EL sounds way better too.

Since the debate of uel vs el seems to be opinionated more and more here ..here's a good video that shows the differences of them as both idle and wot through the rpm range. Both Tomei headers too

It sounds that way because it is more free and aggressive. It is the higher performance, more technologically advanced design.

I've only heard one good reason to get a UEL and that is to get the FT86 SpeedFactory catted header if you don't want to mess with a tune. But if they made an EL, there would be no good reason to get a UEL.
