It appears to lower and change the position, so those who have aftermarket rear bush it may not work with this kit.. I will try it out without putting on this piece..

I was having trouble placing how the rear control shaft and shift control lever interfaced - thanks.

If you ever drop the transmission, you'll notice that the "plate" onto which the shifter is mounted is connected directly to the transmission via a hinged connector. This lets the transmission move up and down some without jerking the shifter around while in cabin (aided by the fact that that plate is connected to the car body by the rear shifter bushing).

It also means you don't need to take your center console apart when dropping the transmission. Just unscrew the shift knob, and lower transmission and guide the shifter off the boot (just the imagery screams for "that's what she said" all OVER the place ).

I wonder if Speed Factory would price match, I'd rather buy it from them.

I just paid barely less than that and I was getting "employee" pricing from a dealer. So their cost is lower, but there isn't any room for any vendor to go below $150. If you're interested, buy it for $150 and know you got a deal.

EDIT: I should also mention that I'm getting mine straight from a very trusted source, I can't speak for this ebay seller so if you want some reassurance find a vendor on here and just pay the extra clams. It's inexpensive to begin with.

Good, just to be clear I wasn't implying there would be problems.

i left the perrin rsb..

I can say its certainly SHORT.. And leaving the perrin rsb makes it extremely firm.. I might try and swap out the perrin rsb for the TRD one this kit comes with..
