Ideally I think it would be great if all of us could show up at the dealership and then have someone represent us in negotiations.

I myself will volunteer if there is no one better suited however I have never bought a car brand new before so this is a brand new exp for me
I will go with you and we can both do it. I just hope subaru pricing comes out soon before we do this...annoying...seriously

Same. It all comes down to the price for me. I get the feeling I should've pre-ordered 1 BRZ and 1 FR-S but I didn't want to string somebody along.

Thats prefect now if we could only get some of these other people to reply that would be solid. If not we can represent everyone as a whole. I will be free this week/weekend if that works for you I just want to start hearing numbers cause I don't trust a salesman to look out for my best interest at all.

Given the number of people I am hoping to get invoice pricing.

yea this waiting game is working out too well for dealerships tho considering they got a lot of attention at the show our number may not mean as much.

I was hearing high 20 to low 30s for the BRZ from the sales people but I doubt those numbers are anything more than a guess

Yea, i'm not taking any price estimates seriously anymore..salesmen know less than we do most times.

As for meeting up with you J, this coming weekend is crazy busy for me. I can do it next weekend (like sunday? or Saturday before 11:00) if it's not too late? If you're really chomping at the bit by all means go in an get the ball rolling. If you do, let me know and i'll at least send you my info sheet i've compiled so far, so you at least know WHO you're representing.

BTW, i live in North Van, but the GF's in richmond, so it's not a big deal heading out there for the most part.

Yea if you don`t mind sending me the sheet I have no problem starting if off. I only suggest this week as I`m actually free however I still wouldn`t mind tag teaming this deal as I don`t want to fall for the dealership talk/pressure/blue pill.

I work in north van so if we ever need to compare notes it won't be soo bad

I will email you the word/excel sheet i've started tonight.

and yea, i don't think ANY of us should go in there alone when it comes to final numbers to be honest, they won't take 1 person seriously and they also WILL try to wear you down.

Both. Theres a few that always try to get me to go in. Good thing I'm 1hr 30min away from toronto lol.

When they get you in person, its EAAASY to sell you. I'm a salesman afterall

Sooo just make it blatantly clear that you're not there to buy for yourself or even to buy for the group. Show them that your role is to bring THEM business.

Ask mr.jay to forward the PM i set him to you. Its got pretty good details.

Yeah they will probably try to wear you down and sell you short, but even if they got alot of attention, if we threaten to walk, that could change it in our direction. I do have another pre-order at different dealership so if I you guys can't get a deal or anything, I can always use that to try to leverage something.

The nice thing about multiple people going in is you can tagteam them into a better deal rather than get steered into a certain line of conversation. They like to throw stuff at you like how much of a monthly payment are you looking at. Don't fall into that trap. Just go right to the numbers. The more upfront you are with him the better to keep focus on the price and more importantly the lowest price possible.

I assume you're going to avoid mentioning what site everybody's from in case he goes fishing for details?

It may be too late for that, a dealer from the GTA got on to our buy thread there, they know we exist already. Start using a private mailing list outside of the forum.

If you guys need me to show up and help with the group buy, I can. I work like 5 minutes away from the Auto Mall. I don't live in Richmond but I'm only about 25 minutes away by car.

If you guys wanted to head over there one afternoon, I can meet you guys there if you wish. I work until 4 or 5 on most days but can also meet you guys on my lunch break if you wish.
