Well now that Heero has let the cat out of the bag about the dealer we used I think we under a NDA for the full deal. Just to say it was pretty good...

One type takes very little pressure, I don't know which this model is using.
There are two mainstream types of touch screens, Capacitive and Resistive. Capacitive are the extremely sensitive type (like on a smartphone). Resistive aren't quite as responsive/sensitive, but unlike Capacitive, they CAN be used while wearing Gloves, which is why they usually use the Resistive type in automotive applications.

Just wondering, where did you get the June information from? News article? Dealer? Released from port on June 1? I'll be jealous if all you guys are driving FR-S a couple weeks before I get my BRZ. :P

I can't believe all these people are getting charged admin fees... If anyone in the Kitchener area is still interested in pre-ordering the car they should give Nick Heffner a call at Heffner Toyota. You can tell him that Ras referred you.

He refuses to charge any extra fees and he might even be able discount some of the price if two or more people pre-order at the same time (I'm not sure if he would still be willing to, this close to release.)

I believe he still has a few vehicles left as well.

So you have gotten a final quoted price from him and he has said nothing besides the car, pdi and freight, enviro fees, and tax?

Heffner uses a Bill of Sale as proof of your pre-order. In it he writes that it is subject to finance rates and test drive.

The fees are as follows:
  • OMVIC FEE $5.00
  • Federal Air Conditioner Tax $100
  • Administration Fee N/A
  • Enviro Fee $30.40
  • Freight $1000.00
  • PDI $495.00
  • Licensing TBD (He said in an email $90 for plates and sticker)
That's the extent of his fees.

If you're still looking to place a pre-order and live in the area, it wouldn't hurt to give him a call. He's a pretty straight forward fellow and I believe he may be an enthusiast himself.
