Thats my take on it.
So you feel we should stick with 17s to maintain the car's handling characteristics, not just the ride quality?

Oh man this car is bad ass. I think I might just wait for an STI version but its so tempting. I'ts going to be hard to hold out for an extra year or 2.

Wow. Those wheels are just so much better than the stock rims. Hope Scion gives us options.

And I don't want to spend the time looking, but I seen it positively compared to the Cayman and Elise/Exige.

Any chance you guys are coming out (or already have something that fits) with decent adjustable shocks for this thing, especially in the low-speed damping, so that lower-profile tires (and in general) could be more livable around pothole-cities?

And in general how is it around town in terms of stiffness to your liking? I'm a bit concerned with a few reports of how stiff it is at low speeds. For a reference - I did find the ride of spec.b on RCE T1s decent enough around town with about 2-3 clicks from full soft up front and full soft in the back, iirc.

Nice! Thanks for pointing it out!

I love all the detailed descriptions. I had a perfect mental image the whole time. I've been a fan of the wrx, so to hear that it handles better than it really makes me feel good. The BRZ looks great in the pearl white by the way.

If I wasn't sure before that I wanted this car over the GC 2.0T, I am now.

Well, finally sat in one today...

Reminded me a lot of my old RX7.

It was STI/EVO that embrassed all the dedicated sports car like RX7, NSX, Supra, etc. back in the late 90's, and it was to the point that Jeremy Clarkson put the FQ 420 vs. Murcie and made driving a car with so many compromises absolutely no sense....and since then all the dedicated sports car with great feels has disappeared one by one...

Now it's Toyota/Subie to take what ppl have left behind and saying feels are important, fast is not. History repeats itself.

I'm thinking of sticking with 225/45/17 for autox. I was thinking a lower offset wheel like a 17x7.5 ET42 might work or do you think I would have to go as low as 38?.Thoughts?

Go to the tire fitment thread...we've posted thoughts and options...also a link there to a great tire and wheel calculator ...look for my posts on that thread...I'm thinking 225's as well but more likely 18's...although I won't be auto-x'ing mine
Just looking to fill out the wheel gaps a bit and go for a more flush to fender look.

Just went to go check one out at the dealer. Interior is better than i expected. Very tactile friendly. The non soft touch parts are still much better than the typical Subaru hard plastic. Interior felt like sitting in a ****pit. Like Myles said the seats are very similar in feel to the evo X... Not quite as nice, but closer to that than any WRX or STI seats I have sat in. Trunk space isn't bad for something this small and putting the back seats down gives you a ton of room.

Sat in the backseat and my head touched the rear glass. Im 6'2" though.
