I was wondering for the black spyder headlights, will they look like the ones from sema! So is the top led strip the drls? Also will those headlights be good for rhd 86s? If they are, can you put me down for the preorder list please

They shouldn't deviate from the SEMA model.

The projectors are z pattern with the right half a little higher than left. This is designed for LHD as they won't be making a RHD specific model (at least there are no plans).

It should work for a RHD, but it won't be the optimal setup. Possibly a retrofit could solve that.

Would a retrofit be hard to do?

I'd be surprised if they weren't adjustable. Which reminds me... getting these will negate my using my headlight adjustment switch.

Just like the Winjet's they will be using an H7 halogen projector. The beam pattern is still pretty tight for a halogen projector.

We won't know how easy it is to retrofit until they are in our hands.

ie

Is it too late to add me (blacked out version) to the list? Is there any deposit?

Also, any idea when each light will turn on in what modes? For example the LED strip is on for DRLs/parking/high beam, but turns off for low beam. The halos turn on with parking lights.. etc. like that?

Thanks

They're not out yet, so it's not too late and no deposit is required.

He can answer the other part.

I am not sure of the modes right now. With other Spyder products, they have left that decision up to the end user. For example, the Camaro halo headlights have CCFL or LED rings. Most users will plug them into the sidemarkers, however you could wire it to ignition so that it's on whenever the vehicle is on. You could manually override that with a switch.

I'll see what information I can get.

We usually don't do preorders because we don't need the money up front to do the purchasing. Once we know it is on the way we feel a little better about taking money.

hoping there could be a switch (or that i can make one) to toggle the upper (jdm) as the drl or if in the mood flip the switch and make the lower light strip the drl (like the audi). i vote none will be used as a turn signal. ill keep those where they are. headlight looks a little busy with the all lights plus the halo but i guess in good old america is all or nothing. the winjet looks nice but i saw the spyder drl (upper jdm area yellow) at ft86 nation event and they looked sick! def gonna get a pair just want to customize them and wish we could minus the halo. 1995 civic is a little old news.
