I don't know of any that are doing this with single piece forged wheels. It would have to be a 2 or 3 piece wheel to be able to swap inner/outer hoops and make wider.

Chad, Beautiful setup you have... also lucky to be near Tony! I was wondering who makes this lift, I'm looking to put one like it in my shop... Also which iPhone app was it you used on the Pics?

Thanks man!! The iPhone app is Simply HDR and is really a nice one especially for only $2-3. The lift in the garage was installed by a previous owner of the home and there isn't a single manufacturer marking on it. I've always used Bendpak lifts but this one has worked out well. It's low profile and as long as I reverse up onto it I can get all the cars up with no scraping at all.

Did Tony do your build too?

I saw this pic already....it looks AWESOME!!! Great work and cool that you could include your son on the build. I grew up with race gas in my blood and building cars was always a great bonding experience with my old man. When I was 16 or 17 my skills surpassed his and I turned it into a career that landed me on TV and allowed me to travel to some really nice places around the world. I'm trying to do the same with my kids but only for the time we share together on the projects and hopefully one day they'll tell stories about wrenching with dad in the garage.

Tell me a little more about the setup since that's what I'm planning on going with in my car..how's it drive? Big turbo hit or is the delivery pretty smooth? I originally was looking into SC kits as I didn't want to throw off the balance of the car but I've seen some dyno charts that look pretty good for a TC setup.

Yeah we hang out quite a bit actually, he's got an STi and has turned in to quite a mechanic. I really do like the way my car drives now the power delivery on my car is totally predictable, passing on the freeway is SOOO MUCH EASIER and the car is even more fun to drive for obvious reasons and of course no torque dip and I'm still on spring pressure. I went with the T3/T4 .57 trim Turbo because my goal was 300-350 on 93 pump gas as there's no E85 around here, I may do a meth kit down the road I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Three things I am doing asap are a Koyo Radiator, an oil cooler kit, and heat extractor type hood. I'm driving around in 95 degree Texas heat and am not having any issues, but, I would like to cool things off a bit better. Were putting the same kit on another FR-S for one of our local car club guys, though .60 trim, I think my son will handle most of that install and I'll supervise and handle the light work ya know... Gotta run, taking the wife to the movies, I'll catch up with ya later!

Not trying to thread jack, but your car looks fantastic! I believe that lift is from Direct Lift. http://www.directlift.com/Four-Post-Lifts-C9.aspx My friend's lift looks identical, and I'm nearly ready to order one myself, as soon as I coat my garage floor.
