Way to shoot down my hopes lol

but it should be in that range minus 1 or 2 grand from the base and top.

Thank you. They can be the nicest people on the planet, the simple fact is there is no set price yet. They're all pulling guestimates out of their asses.

Well the Australian's have said they are in talks with JP about price, so there would be some news about it with in the dealerships...

So he could be telling the truth...

Why wouldn't they start knowing the details 70days before release... If i was a dealer i wouldn't want to know all the details the same time the public does.

Well two reasons really. The main one being Toyota's hatred of leaking information. Do you see how loose lipped these salesmen are? They, the salesmen, have no reason to keep information secret if it'll help them sell a car or get a deposit. Secondly, the salesmen don't NEED to know how much the car is going to cost until they're actually on sale. So why tell them anything until the car is released?

They are pretty lose lipped aren't they :P

What you say makes sense.

But i still would want to be able to answer questions to future customers... even if its just a ball park... - and i guess with that most of them are making it up.

Not exactly, but I do earn too much lol (power generation)!
ISF is ~$65k change over with my Prado trade.

was looking to trade the honda for FT86 and keep the Prado, that still might just happen, but at this stage, ISF > FT86.

Through salary packaging, ISF looking to cost ~$350 a week out of my take home pay!

Its just how you shuffle money around.....

Of course they would know!

Contractural agreements for the FT86 would already be made with Toyota Australia, that's for sure. And the dealers would certainly have an idea on price and availability, as they have to get an issue of cars available. These dealerships are privately owned, so they would know.....

Asked when will we find out more info...

Quote:
The global launch for the FT86 will be held in late November.

More details will be revealed at that time.

Local spec and pricing won't be available until the domestic launch around mid next year.

You can go to our web site, www.toyota.com.au where you'll find more detail on the car and you can register your interest.

Regards.
read into that as you may... i guess late nov means the last day of nov rofl!!!

I believe you're confusing Toyota Australia with Joe Schmoe Salesmen at Schmoe's Toyota Dealership. The salesmen are the last to know final details even something as simple as final pricing. Taking into consideration the fact that we still don't actually know when the car will be released (see the "when is winter" debate) and we could still be over a year off from rubber hitting showroom floors... I'm sorry, but I can't believe any of these salesmen's pricing/spec figures. How many times have you gone to a dealership, asked a salesman a simple question about a new car only to have that salesman hunt down a brochure to answer you.

I guess I'm weird, but I can think of so many ways I would rather spend $50k and/or $700 a month than on an ISF. The ISF is a cool car, but not THAT cool.

So you really think they have NFI?
