Maybe 3 - 5 WHP difference in the top end but I certainly didn't see an 11 HP / WHP difference, and unlikely in an NA application - stock for stock that is. I was wondering, for academics, can you show us the same dyno runs with the logged AFRs?

NOTE : I'm not wanting to start stuff, just trying to get to the bottom of this. The results are for a magazine article I'm putting together...

Well, you will have more results soon. I fully intend on dynoing my tune and stock tune. I'm willing to bet it will show plenty of gain.

My tests are for stock OEM vehicles with only the intake. Can you do one before your dyno tune?

I was planning on doing a stock tune, off the shelf visconti tune, and dyno tune.

Regards,

This is what I was referring too with the 11hp difference. All stock.

The graphs I posted above are not mine, and were pulled from NASIOC

I picked your tune because yours produced the safer AFR, and it did sound better mid range ;p . I'm not going to risk my engine for a leaner AFR up top with more HP, which I don't need for autox

Will autoblip be added as a feature to all these tunes or only Mr V's? Glad to see some variety and competition between different shops.

When the advanced racerom stuff is ready all dealers will be allowed to put it or include it in there tunes.

As of right now it's not allowed on customers cars!!!

in all actuality the only mod i ever made to mecha tune was cam tables down low. i never touched afr or ignition after. as far as the afr goes you can see significant swings due to the fact that the car is equipped with intakes which naturally lean out the mixture. we do currently offer a tune for intake now so that isnt a valid issue. the tune mecha purchased was for stock tune not a modded vehicle.

its more so due to the fact that these tunes now have intakes on them. i cant speak for john but i have found from my testing that intakes lean the mixture out thus causing this affect. i have since offered an updated tune prior to me even knowing this thread existed. you can contact mecha on this cause i email him whenever i spend more time on the dyno.

This was pretty evident with my dyno tune. The mods do make a difference to the AFRs. I would recommend a road or dyno tune to maximize mods. Glad you cleared up the AFR issue, because mine is flat and safe. See other thread for details.
