Tracking my stock front brakes wore one edge more then the other. Can't remember which for sure, pretty sure it was the leading.

Leading edge always wears faster due to the torque applied from the rotor, hence most multi-piston aftermarket calipers having smaller pistons at the leading edge.

Pad taper is also common in sliding pin designs due to flex in the rubber bushings in the caliper itself.
