well according to the article that was discussing the technology, it was to outsource. They weren't planning on having the technology for special surgeries, but were specifically having the technology to outsource surgeons in Europe to surgeons from India. The technology already exists, they're just trying to make it more widely used for common procedures. One of the problems that's keeping it from being widely used is the amount of lag that they experience.

Do you have a link to the articale or know what journal it was in? I really can't see the FDA letting this get through over here (they are an anal group when it comes to technology)

I don't have the article, but I might have read it in wired or endgadget or something. I remember it being a tech magazine. But this article discusses the same subject, just doesn't mention anything about the outsourcing part.

I'm a civilian contracting officer for the Army...did it for 10 years as an airman with the Air Force, now separated!

I'm 32 btw...

On a side note: I found out about the ft20 today while getting my tranny fluid changed on my GS300. I live in Germany so I'm not up to date with some car stuff.
