yeah, gotta make the trip to the US. If it's a car you really want, should be no big deal.

Still, most likely would be $60-70k for a clean NSX , possibly 1st owner, and that's what most owners with clean examples would want (sure there are always diamonds in the rough, but I'm talking 99% of the time).

That's why for the money, I'd still say certain model 911 is a better buy, 1st owner took the $50k hit driving it for 5-8 years , but can still find low miles 911's for $45-55k, clean , easier to find then NSX and more performance.

Won't be anytime soon, so it's only going to get harder and harder for me to get my hands on one of those beauties. My alternative would be a new Cayman S later in life when I actually am looking at getting into another car.

Same here. In my 50's .. maybe a 2014+ Cayman S , or a 2009+ 911 C2S or C4S ...or GTS. Right time, right place in life.

To me a '97-2000 would be ideal , at the right price. A nice blue 2000 is on Autotrader now, 42k miles, but they want $75k for it !! I also prefer the pop-up headlights as well, Testerosa style, Miami vice .... but one more thing that could break.

Should have bought a NSX back in 2008-'11 , during great recession

Seriously, I had no idea how much their values had gone up in recent years. I remember looking at a used one at a dealer when I was in HS, they were asking like $26k (circa 2001), then a few years later you could get one with higher miles in the low $20k range. And the Targa examples are just nowhere to be found.

Yeah, like I said 2008-2011 was the best time to buy....recession + the cars were several years old at that point.

In my 2 cars garage, I still have my 1988 BMW M3 from my college days (115,000 miles fully restored as current garage queen) next to 2003 BMW M3 (128,000 miles retired DD as the 2nd garage queen) and this 2013 FRS for DD on the driveway next to my wife's VW Alta.

Well, you win ... other than the VW. You need an e36 to complete the collection.

US version of E36 M3 has different engine. Maybe one of these days I will get a Canadian version. I lost all the faith with M3 after BMW decided to move on with V8 and current flat 6 turbo and change the market suicide name to M4 or Grand Coupe...

M2 is your new option imo.

The euro version of the e36 is now able to be imported with the full power engine per the 25 yr rule.

My favorite is the e30, but I do love the sound of the e90/2 V8 screaming. They definitely changed the focus of the car over the years. The F30 with the turbo I6 is probably the one I have the least desire to own.

2013 FRS - Over prepped HPDE car and summer toy
2008 Honda Fit - Daily/winter car
1993 Honda Prelude - Current project/3 season daily

Me and a friend rent a 3600 sq ft shop to work on and store our cars. I own a 2 family house with no garage so the shop is a necessity. Planning on buying another house soon that will have a large garage and completely rent out the 2 family and ditch the shop.
