Until then I am hoping that a solid reliable 250+hp FRS can be done through factory or aftermarket.
Hp is either expensive or heavy though. No real way around that

Your right a good community is important, but you must admit this forum has its characters as well,a few posts up a guy just said a GT500's suspension sucked a car that can pull 1.0g on the skidpad. On each forum theres gonna be arrogant people even more misinformed fanboys, just goes with the territory just gotta get a good mix of a car you like with a decent fanbase....

Ok...i agree with you damn....the Z caught my attention with that win very impressive indeed....

In the end I think I made the right choice. I love my BRZ and some hate it. It's like how I love my Civic and so many hate it.

Pro's & Con's always around...
Very true and congrats....most definetly when it gets boosted i'll buy 1 and sleep next to it and caress it every night, until then i'll enjoy the new Camaro SS 1LE...its not flawless but it has my favorite powerplant and tranny under it and a great chassis even tho its heavy...enjoying what you buy is what its all about...

Personally, I think 240Z and 370Z are by far the best looking Z's ever.

Yes, this debate can go on forever.......

It surely is....its the golden age all over again 2000 to 2005 all over again. You can even throw in the Buick Regal GS,Verano Turbo,Caddy ATS 2.0T,and BMW 328,although 3 of them is more in line with price with the Z,Camaro SS,Mustang GT,but the Verano Turbo will be very fairly priced...

Really? you don't like the retro style look? Ford has gone back over time for the Mustang and brought it back to life while it was kinda dead in the 90's. A lot of new sports cars look slick and have great body lines, but it seems most of them lack some kinda character

You do realize the fact that "bigger engine = heavier", right? Even with the rest of the car in relatively same size and materials.

I am aware of that. The current Z is 3232 lbs or so at the same size as the BRZ. I am sure the engine is not 400lbs heavier, there are other factors.

If Nissan actually lighten it (say 3100lb range) for the next generation and bump output to 350hp then it would be a car I'd consider to buy for 38-40k range. For 35k range I'd buy a 250+hp STI BRZ if that was made and kept the weight down at around 2700lbs. It would be nice if both choices were available in the future.

Even with 250-hp of brz sti, you're still looking at worst power-to-weight ratio than 370z. Not to mention the 250-hp brz sti will no longer be only 2700 lb. The problem with a lot of people keeping bashing Z for its weight, but nobody ever realize it's the power-to-weight ratio that matters
