This comparison is valid. The cars are more similar than people think. Both are cheap proper Japanese sports cars. There is really only 3 cars in this catagory including the miata. All are great cars. Why did I choose a brz over the 370z? I have a 100 mile commute and it snows where I live. The brz gets better gas mileage and can fit better winter tires. The 370z also has the same problem as my old sti, big grip, big brakes, big power that just feels numb when you aren't going 2-3x the speed limit. Sure you can blip the throttle and blow the speed limit in 5 seconds. That's fun?? I rather be wringing the life out the fa20 for a tick or two more to merge. It feels like more fun to me. It makes all the right noises and feels good to drive.

So if the brz is a better track car why did we loose on this video against the 370z? I cant believe a pig can be so nimble.

Right but if you watched the video, the first half they were neck & neck and then the twin screwed up. This shouldn't really even mean anything IMO because it's so incredibly technical that one screwup would throw off the time of either driver, and it's really easy to screw up. In my book they are even on extremely technical courses. Obviously changes once you move into the courses where power comes into play. I'll have to give my own review once I get this car because I owned a Nismo 370 for more than a year.

Honestly when I sat in an FR-S in a showroom, I too felt that I had more room inside than in the Z. It utilizes it's size soo well for a car that weighs 600lbs less, it's amazing. I fit fine in my Z, and Im 6'3" 200lbs, but being able to lower the seat in the FR-S vs the fixed height seat in my 350Z makes all the difference. I could easily wear a helmet in an FR-S whereas I don't think I would be able to in my 350Z.

I think the next Z might murder everything under 35k. If they can get rid of 300 lbs(current car weighs 3,230 lbs) and the power from the 2.0T is 300hp/300tq for around $29,500 it would be a massive bang for buck sports car.

If it's turbo and lighter, I'm going to be mad. I wish the original 370 was like that or I wouldn't have sold it.
