Not sure I've met him. I have been out of the scene for quite a while as the car sat in my garage.

Painted tire logos. Was a pain but looks good from a distance, curious to see how it dries (24-36hr cure). Can be driven while it cures oddly.

Car is on it's way! VIP was painless.

Was told an initial estimate of August. based on the experience of others I am assuming it might be faster than that.

I remember reading about synchro issues and replacing the factory transmission fluid. Was a consensus reached on the best fluid to use?
There's a thread in the DIY section about it, no consensus though...

I'd go with the Motul 300 just because.

Ours just arrived and took almost exactly 5 months (we were told to expect a 2-4 month wait), FYI.

-FRS with TRD exhaust and TRD intake put down 178whp 144tq

-FRS with a Ecutek tune, over pipe, drop in filter and APR catback put 180whp 146tq.
So... the FRS with a tune, over pip, drop in fitler and catback only did 2 more hp and 2 more torque then the FRS with just an intake and exhaust? What is the point in paying 700 for a Ecutek tune then?

The tuner said that the car needed more tweaking. One of the San Antonio guys I believe 200whp with e85 tune. Tunes seem to clean up the plot, improve throttle response in areas and a few other things. I think it helps but to me at this time I have to agree. If I do a supercharger, header back then that will be when I look into tuning. Till then I will love what my suspension, brake and tire mods have done to liven up my car.

So I went on a spending Spree this weekend.

TRD CAI Airbox
Motul 300 Tranny & Diff Replacement
Bridgestone RE-11's

Now all I gotta do is wait for all this shit to come in the mail!

Edit: I'll be putting together a DIY walk through so people can see. Supposedly the instructions are really good so it's going to be more pictures than anything.

Interested to hear about the TRD airbox, I'm on the fence about getting one. Keep us updated.

That intake is huge and seems to do well. Look in the power section there are posts on it. Tim loves his. A lot of the San Antonio guys have them. From when I dynoed it seemed to do very well. If I wasn't gonna do a super charger later on I would do this intake above any others so far.
