Was reading this thread about Perrin Engine mounts.

Anyone here still on stock engine mounts? Are upgraded engine mounts a must when going FI?

I just put on STI mounts last week. Honestly man I say with complete confidence that it's the absolute best "feeling" modification that I've done so far by a country mile. They don't cost much and really make the car feel solid. If you plan on doing plugs anytime soon it's a great time to do them while you have the motor up.

Any plugs you recommend? OEM? I saw HKS makes some too

I am running HKS. They are just re-branded NGKs. I wasn't able to find the NGK part number so that I could just use those and save money, but never had any luck with that. Plenty of people making way more power than I are using stock plugs so I don't think there's anything wrong with sticking to factory. I just figured Iridium is so fucking expensive as it is, might as well spend ten more bucks and go a tad colder.

Twin Scroll vs UEL

I was Looking at purchasing a JDL Twin scroll turbo kit with a gtx2867r because I want a pretty broad power band.

Other things I would like (but may be a bit much who knows), recirculated wastegate and a high flow cat. These are because I would like to pass emissions here in NY.

I would like to know if there are two comparable dyno charts showing UEL vs twin scroll and if anyone has a cat and hows its affecting things....

Will be getting a flex fuel tune for it.

Thanks so much guys!

Besides the Work kit (CARB exemption), there aren't any turbo kits that will pass an emissions inspection.

Still in my tuning process. Once that's complete I'll get some dyno pulls and post them

I had seen this as well once I bought my Perrin mounts.

I wrapped them in exhaust wrap and heat shielding before install.

Wrap is underneath the shielding and a few stainless steel bands are loosely tightened around to make sure it doesn't work its way off the mounts.

I think I'm probably just gonna snag an STi mount or the Cusco mount for simplicity on my end. The Perrin mounts are also damn expensive compared to those 2.
