Hello Ernie

push the yellow bit in with a screwdriver whilst pushing the hose outer forward to release its grip then you should be able to pull the hose off

That's not a Jeep!

Great work! 3hrs for complete disassembly isn't bad for your first go at it and taking your time to do it right. You'll have it back together in no time. Would you say (so far) this is a very do-able project for a weekend if you had to have it back on the road for work Monday morning?

Yes with out any distractions that would seem quite possible....I ate up a lot of time trying to figure out how each of the many different electrical connectors came apart. The passenger side injector wiring loom must be moved to get at one of the intake bolts . Removing the driver side injector heat shield (as they call it) was a puzzle that ate up some more time. I'll post a picture later of the bracket that must be removed first. I had to take a break as my back was locked up from leaning at the waist for three hours...back at it tomorrow morning.. I have to work on thursday so...I may have to take a day off ha ha ha

Good luck. Please keep us updated on the progress and any 'gotchas' you run into.

Oh, side note, are you going to run a FMOC like the Perrin unit? I'm curious if it'll fit with their exchanger.
I was looking at the Perrin ..I believe it would pose no problems..I just wish I could have used the Ptuning oil to water laminova cooler that I bought...the cosworth header nixed that..

looking the Ptuning kit on their site I'd say you could still make it work, but it would need some relocating of the cooler unit with some longer lines

there's a bunch of space behind the passenger headlamp where you could mount it

Go to your local auto parts store and buy the kit of plastic fuel line disconnect tools. I should be the smallest or second to smallest one in the kit. It makes disconnecting the fuel lines so much easier without damaging them.

Please don't use a screwdriver... If you need to ghetto it, make a sleeve that fits over the line you can push into the connector out of plastic from a milk carton (cut, fold it over and wrap it around the line and push in) or something. You are just trying to push the tabs back on the inside of the sleeve.

Yeah I looked at these vids long before I asked for help here...The ones I showed a picture of are not the same as those in the video.. You cant push anything into the end of the pipe as there is already the plastic yellow thing there...these are more like those shark bite quick connect plumbing fittings...You can see that the fitting does not go up to the raised rib and grab it like the fittings in the videos... I worked around it anyway...
thank you
Ernie
