I think the R400 has so much power it'll reach silly speeds too easily. My Elise was the wrong side of that line with 240bhp in a 900kg car. But I'm just guessing because I've never driven a Caterham.

It can get illegal really fast, but he takes it to lapping days and auto x regularly over here. Its also his daily driver from May-October.

That being said, the #94 hasn't been winning because they spent money with IMSA, they are a small privateer team. They're winning because the Z4 GT3 is an exceptionally good car that's easy on it's tires and reasonable on fuel being backed up by a team that's incredibly seasoned with a consistent driver team. It really says something about how good your team is when your car keeps winning races despite not setting the fastest in class laps. The Ferrari's and Porsche's have the Z4 in straight line speed but just can't quite hang in the corners. Meanwhile the Turner team nails it home with some of the fastest pit stops in pit lane (as fast as the proto teams). The race at COTA is going to be very interesting because I suspect it'll be a new track for most of the field, it's going to really come down to which drivers learn the fastest. I expect markus is going to do great because he's been having to learn new track all year and he's still been competitive. This race is really going to show just how much better, if any, the gold/platinum drivers are vs. the silver "novice" rated drivers really are. Or it'll end up like Sebring and be wreck filled carnage fest because moneyed idiots in prototypes don't have any damn common sense

My IMSA comment is based on my experience when I developed and raced a 300zxTT in super car series in the early 90s not the current new IMSA so I can only ASS-U-ME that the weight penalties and restrictors are completely unbiased, not. Boy this thread sure got lost, anybody know what happened to the Stout Scion and why the aren't competitive?

its fun to be fast, but doesn't need to be fast to be fun. Something doesn't sound grammatically correct, but you get the point.

If you want a Cayman then get a Cayman. Nothing will ever make a FT86 handle like a Cayman; which isn't necessarily a.bad thing!
