as per my Subaru contact "no Canadian BRZ will be released from the yard until the dealer meeting on June 13th".

well that's a dealer issue, nothing to do with Scion.

Was told today that my car will be released from scion canada to the dealer today(paperwork wise).

He said monday the 4th shouldnt be a problem for delivery,.

Ok, at this point its hearsay since the original posts on facebook have all been removed and it was his posts of what was happening anyway but as I understand it the car was held just like all the other Canadian cars due to an order by Scion Canada.

Yes, Scion orders a hold. The dealership has to comply.

The fact that the dealership did not give the person their money back, or failed on their obligation to deliver a car on a certain date, is their fault.

My dealer currently has my $500 deposit and never once has mentioned or promised a specific date, and has not at any point requested that I commit to my purchase and sign full purchase papers. My dealer openly told me that they have no clue when and where, and will contact me when they do. Very simple and straight forward.

So this person has an issue with their DEALER, take it up with the dealer, Scion Canada has no power in this case, and should not have any frustrations dumped on their lawn. (metaphor for facebook page)

I know that this is an old thread, but ordered a new FR-S from the dealer here in Halifax a month ago today. Put my deposit in and was told late Oct. -> early Nov.

Anyone order a car around that time and receive it yet? They haven't been able to update me at all.

nope still waiting I called a few days ago they said end of the month...

Raven, 6spd manual. Pretty stoked. It's pretty much the exact car that they had for demo, plus the upgraded stereo.

Sweet! I ordered a Asphalt AT, no upgrades, ordered September 18th. The anticipation is killing isn't it lol

I asked the dealer to be completely honest (I know I know), and he said best bet is probably 3 months...possibly 4-5 though is a better guestimate. This is for my BRZ though. When I initially had my deposit on an FR-S (same ordering timeframe last month), Toyota/Scion dealership said 8-12 weeks. I think that's probably about right too. So if you ordered mid-Sept I think you will be lucky to get it by x-mas.

Oh man, I have a hard time not calling/emailing the dealer every day for an update lol. I'm pressing them for actual status (production, shipped, etc.), waiting to hear back now.

They seem to be very lacking on the information side...

Yes I feel you, I got a screenshot, honestly I need an ETA soon, since I need to plan my insurance and I hope the KM stays under 10-12KM

For the BRZ: I asked 3 dealerships they said 6 months in March/April 2013. I originally wanted the BRZ but I couldn't wait

I ordered an FR-S in July and will be happy to get it by Christmas.
