![]() Guesses? I'm saying this PD blower setup alone is 9-10k as a guess.

What would be interesting is if they use the standard Eaton case. If so, there would be some additional room for improvement with a better case design to get better VE across the board along with higher adiabatic efficiency. Even with the standard Eaton case, it should beat the snot out of the Sprintex blower up top while matching it nicely in the low end and midrange torque. Also, from everything I've seen, the Sprintex supercharger kit has what looks to be an extremely restrictive intercooler setup. A more conventional heat exchanger would have less pressure drop across the intercooler core without much of a sacrifice in heat exchanger effectiveness. In fact, for the same pressure drop, a conventional exchanger design would be more effective than the Laminova setup Sprintex is using. I have a feeling the Cosworth setup will perform well...pricing on the other hand will just have to be a "wait and see". |

You'd think that Eaton with all their resource would have this pretty well developed? |

From a strictly manufacturing perspective, there is nothing wrong with the case. From a performance perspective, however, there is much more that can be done to increase the VE and adiabatic efficiency. Eaton, like every company on the planet is in the business to make money and the law of diminishing returns makes it such that further increases in performance result in substantially higher costs to manufacture. The bottom line is that if you want more performance than the standard Eaton case provides, you gotta pay to play.

What sort of mods then? would they need a new case or could they be done with inserts and the like?
I'm presuming your talking about a less sudden expansion of area out of the blower exit? |

Well it's a nice dream, and if remotely close I'll bet ya that would be double the cost of what a Turbo that would give you 350 would cost.
