Haven't posted in this for a while will be doing picture updates and build updates sometime this weekend a few things have changed and there is some new alcatara in the car now as well. Now I just need to pay off all my bills so I can afford coilovers and my build will be "complete". Will also be posting an end of summer review once I hopefully get my car to the track. Been noticing a few odd noises from my transmission and wanted to get them checked out before I went back to driving her hard.

Updated this since a few things have changes since August. Got some new HKS Coilovers, found out my Diff is not liking how I'm driving (no more cookies or drifting until I figure out whats going on), starting to hate my wheels, got new JPM coachworks speaker panels. Will be posting up picks today and fully updating the first post. Damn looking back 2014 saw a lot of new stuff done to my car can't wait to see what 2015 has planned although probably not much cause I'm now on the hunt for a house.

Your car looks kickass. I'm in Hillsboro too - right near where you were spotted yesterday at 25th and Cornell.

So far I've got the Grimmspeed license plate relocator kit - waiting to install when my custom plates arrive. I think I'll do the smoked side markers next. How hard are they to change? If I don't want to (or can't) do it myself, where is a good local place to have it done?

I can help you or I'm sure a lot of other people around town as most have done it or removed their front bumper for the Perrin intake at one point.

You heard my car at the track. Perhaps you should get the Q300 instead, especially since you'll be running catless headers.

If you do end up with catless headers I'd like to hear what the 3" Perrin sounds like. Should sound good. Hopefully not too loud. Best test is going up hwy 26 from downtown past the zoo since it's all uphill. That portion is why I switched from Nameless to Q300.

Will have some exciting new updates this weekend...Changing header to a Tomei UEL, getting a fully updated tune with the new UEL, 3" catback and bigger (not sure how much bigger) Perrin CAI.

Posted a short review of the HKS Hipermax SP coilovers here http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...4&postcount=73

After this weekend some new wheels might be on the way along with a turbo fund being started...That modding life

So have ran almost a full tank through the car since the updated tune on the Tomei UEL header...and HOLY SHIT I am impressed. The cars sounds amazing and the increase in power has been really awesome. Taken it through some twisties and done a good amount of launches and the low end torque is really awesome. Also now that my race rom stuff works again (not sure why it decided to stop working before) launch control is awesome.

I would recommend Vit to anyone in the area but this is not a knock on @Drift-Office Bob's tune was great for the time I ran it just wanted to save a little time and get my tune a bit closer than Tacoma. With all the options we have to tune our 86s glad to know there are 2 solid options within a few hours that do legit Dyno tunes. I know a lot of shit has been circulating about many local shops but I have nothing against any of the ones I have used.

Glad you're enjoying it - and for all out there, anytime you're going from a catted to non, you would be picking up power. Plus the Tomei UELs seem to be the best bang for the performance buck right now. Their design and fitment is better than the latter!

Cheers!

What would you say the volume difference between the two headers were? I'm trying to decide between the tomei, ft86, or jdl catted/uncatted. I just don't want a lot of loud drone. Thanks! I love the gold wheels on black.

The volume isn't a huge increase over the ft86. The only major difference so far is the cold start...as now it sounds like WWIII is going on behind my car (sorry neighbors). Under throttle it isn't bad at all, while I did notice going uphill near the center divider it was quite loud. I have only set off ~2 car alarms which could just be the rest of my exhaust setup.

As far as drone goes there is virtually none. but this will mainly vary on the rest of your exhaust setup. When I first got the ft86 header I was running the Apexi catback and it droned/rasped like madness, but now with the Perrin all is good again.

If you are choosing between catted and uncatted go uncatted the gains are incredible and a High flow cat doesn't do much anyway so might as well just save some money.

And thanks I like my color combo as well but my modding bug has it's eye set on some vinyl crap and a change of wheels...hopefully I don't do it though cause I want a turbo
