My first autox event will be august 12th in Lake Charles at Chenault airbase. If you have not been there, it easily the best autox site in LA. 3 times the size of Nola and concrete. They don't start racing till 11:30, so no excuses not to make it.
Not sure if I want to run one event stock or not. Probably not. Lol. I'm sure the coilovers and wheels/tires will be on. |

Just popping in, another Louisiana guy. Have an FR-S coming in at Northshore Scion in hopefully a little over a week. They told me 2 weeks on Saturday.
Only immediate mods planned are XPEL Ultimate PPF and hopefully Opti-Coat 2.0 if I can find an installer or a garage to borrow and do it myself.

August 12th will probably be the last time at Chenalt. They are starting construction on a new hangar. In fact this event was not supposed to happen, but the start date got delayed.
Burton is pretty awful. Don't like to run there. |

Im also going to the League night at NMSP wednesday. Usually pretty fun, with way better driving than a regular rental day.

I just got the Street Touring classification conversation going on the CENLA and Delta FB pages. General impression is that STR is a better fit. I'd be fine running that at the local level, but since the precedent has been set in other regions to run STX, I'd like to not give up the generous PAX if at all possible. I'm out of CS with my wheels, so I'll be watching this closely. I'll post up when the locals at each chapter decide what they're comfortable with us running in. STR is almost the same pax as CS, and the extra rubber would help (since I don't plan on running rcomps in CS). STX would be easier, but maybe not the best for these chapters. When I look at my times from the last Delta event and the assumed benefit of stickier tires and the STX PAX, I can see how it might put me ahead of drivers who are more technically competent than I am. Opinions?
Since the SEB was silent regarding the issue on the August Fastrack, I feel like this is an appropriate regional discussion. |

Its an STX car. Specs wise, I dont think it can go anywhere els. I'll run in x till its classed. But if it goes anywhere else I'll be suprised. It will be buried in STR.
The SEB is waitung till after nats I bet. Dont want to upset anyone till then. |

Ahh, Bales. So that's you. Cool. Yeah, overwhelming opinion is that STR would be a disincentive to run the platform. It probably wouldn't dominate STX, just be really competitive (which would still upset that apple cart).
