Hi....I am new here....take it from me....I owned a low 10 sec GTR and I was well over 600+ at the wheels. More power is fun but it gets boring quick because you get used to it and then that means more modding which in turn means more money. One of my buddies who sold his GTR told me he "would rather drive a slow car fast than drive a fast car slow."

Ask yourself honestly, when do you think you are going to be at WOT (wide open throttle) all the time to get the benefits of that.

If you are solely looking for straightline speed and don't care about the track performance my advice would be to just do a swap. I forget the company name but they offer a LS7 swap package for about 9.5K.....An LS7 in a car that weighs 28xx lbs=Power to weight ratio insanity. Might want to look at that. Just my .02

wow i didnt expect this to blow up like so, but thank you all for the input. It was alot more than expected. One major thing for me that i cant get over, is i kindof like that tank, heavy, massive metal of death type of car haha. I like the camaro because of what it stands for. I want alot of power not because i want to beat other cars, i want alot of power because i would just love lots of power!! i grew up on old chevy muscle. I know they are heavy, horrible interior, unreliable cars. Just a v8 fire breathing monster from hell sounds fun to me. Corvette would be my first option, but i need a backseat. The frs is a unbelievable car (and i have had my way with a turbo one). and when it came down to i could not split with the frs, i just love the car to much. I think another 30000 miles i will reconsider, and hopefully by then a camaro can be my second car. thank you all again!!

Turbo or S/C the fr-s you say. Well i can turbo or s/c the camaro for about the same price. Fr-s is a amazing car, but i want PPOOOOWWWWEEEEERRRRRR!!! im 50/50 on the trade. So i need input!!! thanks.
Do it be the tenth guy on your street to have one lol. I hate the new camaros a s mustangs nothing original in their styling at all. Plus the blind spots a s driving view in the car is garbage on the camaros. But hey each to their own.

Sounds like you're overly fixated on power. Power tells you nothing, performance is all about power/WEIGHT.
Of course a V8 Camaro is much much quicker than an FR-S/BRZ. But to me it's kind of silly that a ~430hp SS can only do ~110 in the 1/4, and the 580hp ZL1 less 120mph. So much power wasted on so much MASS. I am kinda jaded, though :P

For that kind of car, I'd much much MUCH sooner get a 400hp LS2 GTO and save $15-$20k, have a lower-slung and (to me) much sportier-looking car with an (to everybody) INFINITELY better-looking interior. A few mods to the LS2 (LS3 or L92 heads, mild cam) and you're easily well over 500hp.

Thats easy. So my daughter can sit in the back in her car seat and say "vroom vroom" with the windows down. I'm sure Toyota and Subaru had her in mind when they made the car.

OP, glad you kept the twin, seems like you really enjoy it from your later post.

as for the guys posting about getting an nsx....don't hold your breath for it to come out. Honda said they're not releasing it til they can get the power/weight ratio similar to the original nsx...good luck doing that with a hybrid, those batteries are heavy!!!! also awd adds more mass vs the og rwd. So yeah while it sounds good on paper, its not a reality with todays battery tech...yet

No it's because the backseat gives the owner better insurance rates.

Insurance rates, occasionally driving people in the back for short drives when needed, and I think one of the biggest reasons was that the lead engineer mentioned they wanted to be able to fit tires for the track in the back. That meant a trunk and backseat just large enough

My 7 and 5 year old are back there all the time and they love it. They ask to take my car all the time over the minivan. I am almost 5'11" so there is not much leg room behind me, but my kids don't care.
