Should i trade my fr-s for.......

Now i love this car VERY much. everything is absolutely perfect.....except power. After 13 months, 30000 miles, i want more power. I am considering a trade for a 2010 Camaro SS with 9000 miles. Turbo or S/C the fr-s you say. Well i can turbo or s/c the camaro for about the same price. Fr-s is a amazing car, but i want PPOOOOWWWWEEEEERRRRRR!!! im 50/50 on the trade. So i need input!!! thanks.

More power!? Buy a used M6, BOOM power. Mission accomplished.

TylerLieberman 06-21-2013 10:04 PM

....No. What else does a Camaro have besides power?

You're on a forum, filled with a bunch of people that are fans of a car, that you are asking whether you should trade in. What do you think the answer is going to be? :iono:

i know, probably not the best place to ask, but hopefully find someone who also owns or has owned a camaro ss.

Have you driven the Camaro? It's got some pretty bad blind spots and it's a boat compared to the FRS. I will agree it's fast but that's about all it's got going for it in an FRS vs. SS comparison.

Buy a motorcycle, save tons of money, and smoke everything with 4 wheels.

i wouldnt. i do think that power changes what the car is going to feel like. if you want a car that has power, and can handle it while maintaining composure, its hard to look at pretty much any corvette of the last decade or so. imo (which means pretty much nothing) the camaro is really impressive for what it does. not so much for how it does it.

Lol !:laughabove:

That is so true.

If you want an honest opinion, here i like the frs, i owned a few 500+ before. I will say it here.

1/ talk about power (balls) there is always car better than your. A honda cdivic may have 1000hp built who know.
2/ talk about reliability, there is no one to beat Toyota, and a brand new, un modded car
3/ talk about practicality. What do you need from your car ?
4/ what are you going to do with the power your car have ?

Me, i personally think any car with 300+ hp and light on it feets are good. I was originally hoping for the FRS to be 275+ Atleast. But....it is not, that is why i dont have one.

I drove a civic before, corolla, camry i4.

It sucks when you dont have passing power, and worse when a CUV pass you. I dont care how good you are in the corner and arches..,but if you are not racing your car in the track....it is unpractical.

I had my vr4 450 awhp. S2000 400rwhp. Drove a friend rx8 425.... Passing power is crazily good. But why need so much when u can get into trouble fast, especially cops....

Now into the Camaro...to be honest dude, their number is good, but they are heavy...and they feel heavy too! Their interior suck...and their visibility is shitty. Many people call them a driving coffin....next you need a hole!

Camaro is just a chevrolet...and their reliability is shitty!

Conclusion, if you want passing power, you are spot on that FRS is under powered....if you dont enjoy drifting, and cutting corner....the car is not for you. There are much better car than Camaro...

Like everyone else said, this a vague question.. More power ?
Like you said yourself turbo'ing either car would cost the same .. Do the FRS and smoke camaro's all day long
