That's a VERY bad idea. If that line pops offl your going to push as much boost as the turbo can make the next time you lay into the throttle. Not you specifically, just anyone who would do that when installing an MBC.

You guys do know that a missfire will give a "false" lean reading on the wideband right? Just beacause you don't have a code does not mean it's not missing... I have not finished reading the thread yet so the root cause may already be found..

Check the physical connector (on the car, not the cable) and make sure none of the sockets are getting pushed out the backside of the connector.

Yes, definitely I agree. As soon as I finish tuning, I will clamp it. I am also about to buy an EBC. Also, took the liberty of doing it like that because I have overboost protection and tested that it works as intended with a faulty WG .

Now, a misfire will give a temporary lean reading right? If the misfire induces the car to show as being lean constantly its a REALLY bad misfire (one very noticeable is what I mean). Right?

Yeah, this sounds like fuel delivery of some sort more so than missfire.

It's hard to verify with how many deleted posts go around this forum. I feel a little lost & confused on who to really trust with a tune. However due to a low number of possible hardware to tune on there isn't much for local tuners available in my area.

Best of luck OP, hope all turns well. And I would love to see these referenced videos

Take a break, chief.

Then again, you'll probably just claim I'm on Team Visconti and just continue on trolling.
He has some valid points, there is nothing wrong with answering those questions in a professional manner. So would the people involved please answer them.

Name bashing with no valid info to add would be much more akin to trolling. Let's keep things objective rather than some immature knee jerk reactions.

In saying that, closing threads where one particular individual was found to be making eyeballed science claims isn't the way to go either.

Is taking a direct injector out as easy as taking a spark plug out? I know plugs can be a pain on boxer motors but is it pretty much the same time for either?

That's what I'm getting at. Keep it constructive without flying off the handle to bash another forum member. If you have an issue, create a thread and air the grievance. Don't litter thread after thread with mindless fuzz.

It's annoying when you can't find constructive information because of constant back-and-forth bickering or flagrant bashing.

Ah well, I'm tired and it appears that this forum has turned into another NASIOC. Sad.

Thread was closed because it turned for the worse, I mean if you cannot see that go re-read it, had nothing to do with any particular individual but with the flaming war going on...

Between a vendor and an individual's choice of going with AEM. A slap on the wrist for them and keep the thread going.

Someone did come up with a workable testing method in another thread because the applicable thread was closed. Perhaps that would prompt people to do some proper testing and inform the community of the definitive results.

For that lean code you're getting, check your vacuum lines. I got that code once for a very minor vacuum leak off the line on my brake booster.
