I have the BRZ limited and I had a rattle from the passenger door that I just couldn't find, until I checked out the switch cluster in the door panel itself. It is a hard plastic switch set pushed into an adapter sleeve, then into another sleeve attached to the detachable pod. This was loose enough to rattle at certain frequencies. I would recommend adhering something removable to the 4 sides of the switch at least as long as you have the door apart. I just ended up shoving pieces of business card in the gaps to take up the slack and prevent rattles. Excellent write-up and a good reference for when I do something similar to my own doors.

Thanks for the DIY and pics. It helped me a lot throughout my install. I also used secondskin products. I used their products on my last 2 cars aswell. Very easy to cut and apply.

Also got the Second Skin Door Audio kit. Was only able to do my driver's side door today, due to weather..

Did you guys have any problems with the screws that go through the handle into the door? The plate the top handle screw went into won't stay in the door anymore, so as soon as I pull on the door handle, the screw and the piece it screws into pops out. Then the door handle has a slight bit more play, and makes a squeaky noise. Also, 1 or 2 of of the bottom clips won't stay in, or will stay in but pops out when I shut the door. I tried taking it off and putting it back on a few times, but same results. Even tried trimming some of the foam further away from the holes where the clips are. Would it be possible its the huge piece of yellow foam on the door panel? Did you guys shave that down, or remove it, or nothing?

I didn't have any problem with with the screws on the handle area. On my Wrx i broke one of the plastic pieces but the screw always screwed back in. I left the foam piece as is. My door closes fine. Do you have any pictures of your install?

I'd like to try this out but I"m not sure it'll be a big difference. My concern with certain mods has been the fact that I don't notice them. Would sealing and deadening the doors (and seat, trunk, floor, etc) be a night and day difference?
