I still wonder why people HAVE to race on the streets. Better to show your maturity and not lower yourself to their punk level.

As much as I thought I wanted this car, I'm leaning more towards a WRX every day. Same amount of money, AWD, more usable space, and it will set you back in your seat.
I can understand where you are coming from if you are talking just a straight out drag. Take that soccer mom on a curve and you could watch her minivan flip in your rear view mirror as your car is not only maintaining your speed, a great line through the turn, and right back onto the straight away before she is even done flipping.

So that might have been a bit of a morbid example, but is it not enough to know that even though the soccer mom "blew your doors in", she is still looking at your car in her rearview mirror with 100% intrigue?

Exactly, a car is more than a 1/4 mile time.

Thats another thing...I have yet to see a "soccer mom" try to race anyone. Usually its a guy in his mid-40s who wishes he was driving a musclecar.

No problem, I was getting crickets for a bit. Changed gas and it went away. but it does aggravate you like a cheating gf.

but don't forget to properly review something you can't base it solely off your own experience. That would be inductive which is bad for reviews.

It would be better to do the "my experience" bs at the end so the review is less biased.

ya know?

that's like me saying i fucking hate my Droid DNA because it was a dud and had to replace it, they gave me a hard time.

This is probably the most accurate comment about the car I have read in recent memory.

I wanted to support this concept which is one of the reasons I bought the car. By spending the money on their experiment, we are saying we want more cars like this.

The thing is they knew full well they were testing the market, which is why we are seeing the car so half baked. They filled the niche but stopped short of going all out.

So my hope is we will see the next generation become a more complete car or see other manufacturers make a competitive model that is better.

I drive 80+ miles a day. I don't intend to waste my money on a turbo or v8. some people pick and choose their expense. I don't want gas to be one. Who wants to spend $400 a month is fucking gas?

hence my 34 avg mpg : )

Dezoris, I saw your first video last week, and then stumbled into this one today. I'm still in the process of deciding whether or not I want to buy an FRS as a toy, and I found both of your reviews to be quite helpful in my research, and quite humorous. I can find a ton of reviews praising the FRS, but I haven't run across many reviews by people who own the car, who can speak with authority about the joys and sorrows of ownign an FRS, who are willing to give the bad with the good. After watching your first video, I was left with a sense that the car will accomplish what I want; a fun to drive, cheap car.

My only concern is, my last two toys had 400+whp. I found that my 3,100# C5 Vette with 410whp was really more than I could responsibly use to its fullest on the street, and the ridiculous acceleration lost its luster after a while. Cornering began to be the part I enjoyed about the car. I think the FRS will be even more fun in the agility department, but I'm a bit worried that over time, I'll begin to become dissilusioned with the lack of power. Watching your second review gives me more concern...

If you have the money to buy a vette, i would guess that you have the money to make the FRS as fast as you need it to be.

A soccer mom flipping her van trying to race you through a turn is not morbid. It's if it was loaded with dunkin donuts that god ruined in the roll over.

A car is more than it's ability to turn, it also need to get to the next red light quickly.

While it's a great car and is a lot of fun, I still feel the car should offer more for its price point. Both the genesis coupe and wrx are priced the same and offer much more power and a few other things all well.

I'm not asking for 300hp but for the price, when compared to others, I still feel like the car should have an additional 20-40hp whether it be N/A or some type of forced induction.
