Were you on the e85 map before startup? Mine was 42 this morning and it fired up right away.

I turn the key to on, switch to map 4 and turn the key to start I don't touch the gas pedal.

e-85 is the only map I have currently. I took it to the dyno today, and found that my AFR is SUPER rich. so that's probably why.

keep in mind there are 3 different "blends" of e85 available that change based on your state and the month. If i recall, the ethanol content goes down to as low as 70% at certain times during the year. That could explain why some of you were seeing no issues while others had trouble.

at 2.5k RPM afr was 14.5, then from 3.3k it dropped below 10, and the engine started to knock and misfire at 6700

I have the AFE intake, which was making me run lean, and the perrin crank pulley. So my guess is overcompensation after the lean CEL that popped over the weekend.
Luckily, the issue doesn't show up until 3k+ rpms, so I can at least drive it home from work and get it fixed. |
