There is a wonderful DIY Section where members post instructionals and a great search feature on these forums.

For debadging, DarrenDriven wrote a great post with lots of pictures here:

You may also be interested in painting your badge before putting it back on using plastidip. You may also be interested in putting the 86 logo instead.

Well I changed to the Toy T, in my rush I chipped the front paint, so I went down to Signs of Santa Fe and got some black reflective vinyl, when the light hits it at night it's bright white.

I used the fish wire technique with hair dryer heating it first. Some glue was so strong that a some paint came off as I sew through the glue with fishing wire. Just a word of caution to other people.

I think those of us in South Florida have an advantage with all the heat and humidity, it seems to loosen these things pretty well.

after failure in with front badge using fishing wires... i used steam for the rear. WORKS easily and no scratches at all. HIGHLY recommend steaming to remove the badges.

Have we confirmed whether the badges ordered from Toyota from the Corolla and the Avalon come with the adhesive already on them? Do I have to provide my own adhesive or are they peel and stick ready?

Thanks in advance.

I think everyone needs to visit the DIY section. You must 100% use a source of heat to get these emblems off, the glue they use has a very low melting point and when heated it is very easy to pry off with absolutly zero damage to the car. If there is residue left, there is no need to use any chemicals, use more heat and a clean pair of gloves and it will just roll off the paint with a very light rub.

The wheel caps are 48mm in diameter. Here's a whole thread on wheel cap alternatives:

Has anyone looked into the toyota nameplate badge that is positioned on the rear left side on the gt86's.
After looking at extensive pictures etc i know that really doesn't help hah but I found that the 03s and on camrys nameplate badge on the back is very similar if not the same as the gt86.
Pn# 75447-AA020 for those that want to take a look.
I ordered one so ill let you guys know how it looks when it arrives!
