You still raise a valid point that I never considered before. The "normal" FRS will just be a badge change but the Release Series versions will no longer be made. Toyota may make up for that with more options or may just have some "Special" editions. Be interesting to see where they go with that one.

Remember that Toyota has to leave padding in the price so they can "negotiate" with you.
You look at the prices around the world and there should be loads of padding!
People can say what they like about Scion but it did bring the price way down because of their policies.

Perhaps by name. I just get the feeling that Toyota will still make an RS3 under a different name.

I know nothing about Toyota models. Do they have special editions for other vehicles as well? I hear loads of guys talk about TRD Tacomas but are they actually "special editions" or just optional parts added to a "normal" one?

Toyota has special editions of the GT86. Doesn't look too different from our Release Series.

I don't have in-depth detail about Toyota models either, but I've seen enough "TRD" trucks I always considered those like the Z71 package on a Chevy truck, it's just a trim level more than a "special edition".

The TRD is just a trim level, but they've had Tacomas with special editions. The newest one will be the T/X Baja edition, they've also had a Back to the Future edition. Lots of marketing gimmicks mostly, but still limited releases.

Not sure about other models though.

This pimp ass shit right here

here is my local dealers 1.0 http://www.courtenaytoyota.com/en/us...es-10/6942142/

I think the new 2.0's colour will look nice with black accents, and if my dealer can find one with out jacked up prices I would have zero regrets.

I've been watching that RS 1.0 on autotrader.ca for awhile now. I believe they've added the TRD wheels & lowering springs at full MSRP plus labour. That's why they're asking 40g for it.

Also, I posted this in another thread, (so many...) but if you're curious about the colour it’s code is H6Q. That’s the same code for Desert Khaki as used on the Subaru XV Crosstrek. It's closer to sandy coloured cement than off white.
