based on everything I've read (a lot), swirls gets introduced when contaminants trapped in your cleaning medium is dragged across the car and "micro" scratches the top coat. Swirls occur because you move the medium in a circular motion.

To combat contaminants you need to either touchless washing or a way to lift the particles off the car without dragging it across.

Gary Dean Method

1. Presoaked panels with solution which lifts and suspends/lubricates contaminants off the car.

2. Soak 6-7 600gsm microfiber in 2 gallons of water. Wet and ring out one additional towel as a quick dry. Waffle Weave towel as final dry.

3. Start with one panel, fold MF into fours. Wash left to right, right to left and never in a circle. Flip towel and repeat. Open towel, flip to clean side and repeat. Discard towel once panel is done. Dry panel with wet towel. Final buff panel with dry towel.

4. Move onto next panel.

In theory if you do this right, all the towels are fresh and you completely minimize any chance you have of swirls. In theory.

I have seen a few really nice dipped twins around, my favorite being the yellow. I'm pretty sure there's a website that sells kits called plasti dip your car.

The entire kit including sprayer is about 350-400 with an extra gallon just in case....

I'm trying to decide on a color, and then trying to decide if I would regret it at some point.

....but then I could just peel it off
