Poll: Xbox One or PS4

I've had a PS4 since day one. Not a fanboy or anything, but with game lineups that are about equal, I saved myself the $100 and madatory camera until a price drop and some games worth buying the Xbox One come out. I'm more of a sports gamer, so having an amazing MLB game is enough for the PS4 to be better to me.

Astounded by these poll results though.

Me too, especially considering how strong the user base for the 360 was (or at least everyone made it out to be).

Then again I guess the 360 really flipped the tables after the xbox1/ps2 generation where ps2 just dominated.

I had watched a lot of reviews on Youtube from both normal vloggers and the media outfits to help me choose. Ultimately, I decided on the PS4. It is graphically more powerful and aesthetically more appealing than the VCR shaped Xbox One.

Pros of PS4

Free downloadable games
Controller is very nice
One Franklin less
Faster GPU
Pretty

Ultimately does any of that even matter? No matter how powerful and cheap the PS4 is, it'll never have Halo, Gears of War, Titanfall or Forza.

It's about the games, bickering over specs is for fanbois and internet blogs.

Titanfall will very likely come to the PS4 in Titanfall 2. At least, that's current popular speculation.

But yeah, definitely about the games. Find what you like and pick the system for it.

And then buy a PC as well since it's the best choice anyway.

GT is more thought out than Forza. You'll see when GT7 comes to PS4. They roll out Forza games like they do Madden games.

Microsoft really effed up this round with the Xbox One. I was considering going Xbox this round till I saw all the unwanted crap it came with and only to realize that developers are finding that it is running at worse framerates on the same games for a system that costs more. Yeah, no thanks.

One thing that turns me off about the xbox one is the always on kinect watching and listening and microsofts controlling behavior. Just sick of all these companies in bed with our corrupt government. I'll vote with my dollars.

i used to have console loyalty

then i found out about emulators....

realistacally i would only get a playstation just to play the MGS games , so really it's about the games you want to play. (some of which port to the PC anyway)

I understand but it's a thin line. We bitch about too much surveillance but then the minute something happens such as a terrorist attack, we say the government doesn't do enough to protect us. In order to be safe we must give up some privacy in my opinion. This is not to say that there shouldn't be boundaries or that what they were doing was right.

I sit at a desk at a computer all day, not something I'm keen to replicate in my free time.

I'll see with GT7? You mean because GT6 was so amazing? Hardly lol.

And again with the specs, the only people who care about framerates and resolution are the fanbois arguing on forums, the rest of us are playing and enjoying our games. They're just numbers, a game could have the best graphics in the history of the world, but if the game sucks then the game sucks. Another game with 10/10 gameplay and mediocre graphics is going to be infinitely more enjoyable.
